Web design in Bursa — for manufacturers and exporters.
BURSA EXPORTS · 2025
According to data from the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), companies with their registered office in Bursa exported 17.86 billion dollars in 2025, placing Bursa at number 3 of 81 provinces.
The three largest export categories: Automotive Industry (51.5%), Machinery and Parts (7.4%), Ready-to-Wear and Apparel (7.2%).
The three largest markets: Germany (14.8%), France (14.4%), Italy (7.2%). The languages of those markets are the first input for deciding which languages an export website is built in.

BURSA · EXPORTER WEBSITES
From the first 30 named manufacturers and exporters registered in Bursa on TİM’s 2025 Top 1000 Exporters list, we measured the websites of the 25 firms that have their own site on September 23, 2026. The figures below come from the home pages of the 22 sites that responded:
- Declaring more than one language with hreflang — 10/22
- Enforcing secure connections with HSTS — 9/22
- Carrying structured data (JSON-LD) — 9/22
- Explicitly disallowing AI crawlers in robots.txt — 0/22
- Blocking AI crawlers at the server (while open to ordinary crawlers) — 2/22
- Having an llms.txt file — 2/22
Company names are not published; the global sites of group companies are not counted. The measurement was taken at a single moment from a single location, using only the home page, robots.txt and llms.txt. A site that is multilingual without using hreflang appears monolingual in this measure; the figure is a lower bound. The method is the same as the Measurement Observatory’s.
WEBSITES FOR BURSA’S INDUSTRY
What should an automotive supplier’s website prove?
In the automotive supply industry, buyers first look at a supplier’s reliability: quality management certification (the sector expects IATF 16949), production capacity, product and process capability, delivery discipline. This information is not buried in a PDF but written on the site’s own pages, so the buyer, the search engine and an answer engine can all read it. A certificate is not a badge but a layer of evidence: the name of the document, the issuing body and the validity date are stated plainly.
German and French: a market decision, not a translation
Bursa’s two largest markets are Germany and France. The German page is written with the terms German buyers search for and with the formal “Sie”; the French page according to its own search demand. This site itself is in three languages; the Fersan Tekstil site, live in seven languages, includes German and French among them. The architecture of languages: multilingual site architecture.
Machinery, apparel and textiles: Bursa’s second axis
Behind automotive come machinery, ready-to-wear apparel and textiles. In machinery the buyer asks about technical values and spare-part continuity; in textiles about color accuracy, the sampling process and certified yarn and fabric information. The Karcem case shows how color accuracy and a certification layer are built into a site.
The quote form: part, drawing and quantity
In the supply industry, a request for quotation arrives with a part description, a technical drawing and an annual quantity. The quote form asks for these fields on the first screen, has few required fields and states errors clearly; the form is the first screen of the sale. Whether it can also be filled in with a keyboard and a screen reader is the most concrete test of accessibility — web accessibility audit.
HOW WE WORK
In every city the process runs through the same four steps: product and document inventory, product architecture, build in the target market’s language, quote flow and measurement. The steps are detailed on the B2B websites page; this page covers only what is specific to the city’s own industry. The studio is in Istanbul and the work runs remotely: the discovery call, drafts and handover proceed through video meetings and written reports.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
-
How do you work with companies in Bursa?
The work runs remotely: the discovery call, the product and document inventory, and the design and build stages proceed through video meetings and written reports. The studio is in Istanbul; on-site meetings are arranged when needed.
-
Which pages should an automotive supplier’s website have?
At least these: product and process capability, quality and certifications, production capacity and facility information, industries served and a quote form. Each is built as a separate page so the buyer finds what they need in one click and the search engine finds it at its own address.
-
Which languages should our website be in?
In the languages of the markets you sell to or plan to sell to. In Bursa’s exports, Germany and France are the two largest markets; English is usually needed as the common language. Each language is its own publishing job, written for that market’s search demand.
-
Will redesigning our current site lower our Google rankings?
A properly executed migration should not cause a lasting drop: each old address is redirected to its counterpart on the new site and monitored after the move. Lasting losses usually come from unredirected addresses.
